Track Reliance Jio's sovereign low Earth orbit satellite constellation — India's first homegrown LEO network. On 17 July 2026, India's space regulator IN-SPACe adjudged Jio's proposal for a constellation of more than 1,600 satellites as technically sound, on par with global systems like Starlink, with a planned capacity of 4.5 to 5 terabits per second over India.
No Jio constellation satellite has launched yet, so there is nothing in orbit to track. The approval clears the way for international orbital slot filings; spectrum and launch approvals are still pending. Once the first satellites reach orbit and receive NORAD catalog IDs, their live positions, altitude and velocity will appear on this page — tracked exactly like the ISS and Starlink.
"Jio satellite" covers several different things, and only some of them exist in orbit. Jio's LEO constellation is announced but not launched: more than 1,600 satellites proposed, technical approval granted by IN-SPACe on 17 July 2026, nothing built or launched, so there is no orbital object and nothing to track. JioSpaceFiber is a live service rather than a Jio-owned constellation — Jio's existing satellite broadband product, delivered in partnership with SES using SES's medium-Earth-orbit and geostationary satellites, so the service is real but the spacecraft belong to SES. Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb, the systems Jio is competing with, are both in orbit now and both trackable. India's existing ISRO fleet, including the NavIC navigation constellation, is live-trackable today.
Jio already sells satellite broadband in India as JioSpaceFiber, which is not delivered by the constellation described on this page. It rides on SES satellites in medium and geostationary orbit through a joint venture, which is why it could launch years before Jio has spacecraft of its own. Those orbits sit tens of thousands of kilometres up, so latency is higher than a low-orbit system such as Starlink — closing that gap is the case for Jio building its own LEO constellation rather than continuing to lease capacity. No pricing, coverage or launch dates for the new constellation have been announced.

The IN-SPACe approval covers the technical evaluation; Reliance Jio must still secure international orbital slot filings, spectrum and further regulatory approvals before building and launching satellites, and deploying a 1,600-satellite constellation would then take several years.
